GD&TĐ – Elmich Vietnam, in partnership with Education & Times Newspaper and Cau Vong Tuoi tho Publication, has implemented a nursery garden model at 25 schools in Hanoi, integrating environmental education into hands-on experience.
In March and April 2026, the tree nursery model was rolled out simultaneously at 25 elementary schools across Hanoi. This is a key component of the "Green Schools – Sowing Seeds for the Future" campaign, carried out by Elmich Joint Stock Company in partnership with Education & Times Newspaper and the Cau Vong Tuoi tho publication during the 2025–2026 school year, with the company serving as a sponsoring partner and taking part in building and completing the nursery gardens at each school.
The program aims to make environmental education more relatable to students through hands-on experiential activities right within school grounds. Beyond gaining knowledge, students directly take part in the process of caring for plants and harvesting the results, thereby gaining a deeper understanding of nature's role in life.

Bringing "green classrooms into schools
At each school, the nursery garden is set up as a "green learning corner," where students can directly take part in plant-care activities such as watering, removing pests, applying fertilizer, observing the plants' growth day by day, and harvesting vegetables and fruits with their own hands to be used in daily meals.
Through this process, students not only become familiar with plants but also develop basic environmental-care skills. Watching plants grow, flower, and bear fruit as a result of their own care helps children develop a greater love for nature and a stronger awareness of protecting the environment around them.
Ms. Vu Thi Anh Tuyet, Principal of Nguyen Viet Xuan Elementary School, shared: "In my view, the nursery garden is a very visual and effective educational tool. Through caring for and observing plants, students gain a clearer understanding of the connection between people and the environment. From there, they gradually develop positive behaviors such as keeping things clean, valuing greenery, and taking greater responsibility for their living environment."
Nursery gardens – Experiential spaces connected to nature
A distinctive feature of the nursery garden model is that it helps students approach environmental issues in a relatable, easy-to-understand way. From watering plants, pulling weeds, and removing pests to keeping the garden area clean, students gradually build positive habits in their daily routines. The maintenance and care of the nursery gardens are also jointly monitored by the schools and partner organizations to ensure the model's long-term sustainability.
These experiences help students understand that protecting the environment isn't something grand, but begins with small actions suited to their age.

Cao Thi Chau Anh, a 4th-grade student (Class 4A5) at Xuan La Elementary School, excitedly shared: "My friends and I often water the plants together, observe how they grow, and listen to our teacher explain the growth process of different vegetables and fruits. We also remind each other to keep the garden clean, not to pick leaves, pluck unripe fruit, or damage the plants. These small actions make us feel very proud, knowing we're helping the plants grow a little more each day."
Spreading the green school model
The nursery garden model built at 25 elementary schools in Hanoi goes beyond simply greening school grounds - it also helps shape a new approach to environmental education. At the same time, in its role as an accompanying enterprise, Elmich Vietnam remains committed to pursuing community initiatives tied to green living, gradually creating a learning environment connected to nature and encouraging students to develop a green lifestyle from an early age.

In the time ahead, the "Green Schools – Sowing Seeds for the Future" campaign will continue to be carried out in many localities, with the hope of bringing more practical experiential activities that contribute to building a green, friendly, and sustainable educational environment for students.
