"Live Healthy, Live Green" Festival Series

GD&TĐ – To promote a green lifestyle, Elmich Vietnam has partnered with Education & Times Newspaper (GD&TĐ) and Cau Vong Tuoi tho to carry out the "Live Healthy, Live Green" Festival series.

From March 23 to April 7, 2026, the "Live Healthy, Live Green" Festival series took place enthusiastically at numerous schools across Hanoi, notably including: Do Thi Viet Hung Elementary School (Viet Hung Ward), Nguyen Viet Xuan Elementary School (Yen Hoa Ward), Xuan La Elementary School (Xuan Dinh Ward), Van Bao Elementary School (Ha Dong Ward), and Xuan Phuong Elementary School (Xuan Phuong Ward).

This activity is part of the "Green Schools – Sowing Seeds for the Future" campaign, carried out by Elmich Joint Stock Company in partnership with Education & Times Newspaper and the Cau Vong Tuoi tho publication, across numerous provinces and cities nationwide during the 2025–2026 school year.

The program aims to bring environmental education content into schools in a way that is relatable, easy to understand, and highly applicable to students' daily lives.

Bringing environmental education to life as a lived experience

A highlight of the program is its approach to environmental knowledge through direct interaction. Instead of simply listening, students took part in Q&A sessions, tackled hypothetical scenarios, and completed small challenges centered around environmental themes and green living habits at home and at school.

Nguyen Gia Linh, a 4th-grade student (Class 4A6) at Do Thi Viet Hung Elementary School (Viet Hung Ward), excitedly shared: "Today I learned so many useful things. I know that just by not littering, washing my hands properly, carrying my own water bottle, turning off the lights when leaving the classroom, and taking care of plants, we can all help protect the environment and our own health."

These lessons help students understand not only "what to do" but also "how to do it," gradually shaping a proactive mindset toward environmental protection. As a result, knowledge no longer feels dry, but becomes vivid and connected to familiar everyday situations.

Lessons from small actions

One of the activities that received an enthusiastic response was the "Waste Collection – Gift Exchange Station." Here, students brought used milk cartons and plastic bottles, cleaned according to the Organizing Committee's instructions, and practiced sorting waste firsthand before exchanging it for gifts. The activity not only generated excitement but also helped students better understand the waste management process, from sorting to recycling.

In addition, the recycling machine experience zone offered a highly visual perspective, allowing students to observe and take part in a few simple steps of the process of recycling plastic into flower pots, under the guidance of technicians. This hands-on experience helped students clearly recognize the value of reusing resources, thereby raising their awareness of conservation and environmental protection.

Learning through play – spreading the spirit of green living

Group games combining physical activity with environmental knowledge also helped create a lively atmosphere at the festival. Through this "learn while playing, play while learning" approach, students not only retained knowledge more easily but also developed a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.

Students at Nguyen Viet Xuan Elementary School (Yen Hoa Ward) enthusiastically take part in physical games that incorporate environmental knowledge.

Ms. Tran Thi Van Hong, Vice Principal of Van Bao Elementary School (Ha Dong Ward), shared: "Today's activity is especially meaningful and brings great value to the school's educational efforts. Students not only gained a better understanding of how to take care of their own health, but also recognized their role in protecting the environment.

Through the festival, the children learned that small actions like washing their hands properly, disposing of trash in the right place, or saving water all carry great significance in building a green, clean, and beautiful school environment."

Through the process of participating, the children gradually came to realize that protecting the environment isn't something difficult, but is instead tied to familiar everyday actions such as planting and caring for trees, keeping the classroom clean, and reducing single-use plastic waste.

Green Schools – Live healthy, Live green

Closing out the "Live Healthy, Live Green" Festival series, the joy, enthusiasm, and beaming faces of the students showed that the value of learning lies not only in books, but is also cultivated through real-life experiences.

A representative from Elmich Vietnam emphasized: "We believe that lasting change must start with small habits. Through this series of school-based activities, Elmich hopes to help shape a sense of green living in the younger generation, which will then spread to families and communities."

At the same time, in its role as an accompanying enterprise, Elmich Vietnam remains committed to pursuing community initiatives tied to green living, aiming to build a sustainable and comprehensive living environment starting from the student generation - one where students can develop harmoniously in body, mind, and emotion.

Through these relatable experiences, students are gradually forming a positive lifestyle, learning to care about their community, and becoming more clearly aware of their responsibility toward the environment - moving toward a generation of students who are active, healthy, and proactive in working for a green future.

In the time ahead, the "Green Schools – Sowing Seeds for the Future" campaign by Education & Times Newspaper, the Cau Vong Tuoi tho publication, and Elmich Vietnam will continue to be carried out in many localities, with the hope of bringing more practical activities that contribute to building a green, friendly, and sustainable learning environment for students nationwide.
