Wrapping Up the "Green Schools - Sowing Seeds for the Future" Campaign: Marking a Journey by Education & Times Newspaper, Cau Vong Tuoi tho, and Elmich Vietnam to Spread a Green Lifestyle in Schools
In October 2025, Elmich Vietnam partnered with Education & Times Newspaper and the Cau Vong tuoi tho publication to officially launch the "Green Schools - Sowing Seeds for the Future" campaign, aiming to bring environmental education closer to students through practical, relatable experiences.
After one school year of implementation, the results achieved go beyond just green spaces within schools - the campaign has also gradually spread the spirit of green living to students, teachers, parents, and communities across many provinces and cities nationwide. This journey has been written through thousands of trees planted, school nurseries, environmental fairs, and above all, a shift in the younger generation's awareness of their responsibility toward nature and the community.
Sharing insights on the campaign's implementation strategy, Ms. Pham Thu Hien, General Director of Elmich Vietnam, said: "Every activity is aimed at a very simple goal: helping students understand nature better, love the environment around them more, and gradually build habits of green, responsible living. For Elmich Vietnam, this campaign is also a way for us to bring our direction - 'European-Standard Household Goods, Green-Standard Living' - to life through concrete, consistent actions that carry responsibility toward the community."

Taking Environmental Education Beyond the Classroom
One of the standout features of the campaign is its approach to environmental education through hands-on experience. Rather than remaining confined to theoretical lessons in the classroom, students directly took part in environment-related activities such as planting trees, tending to nurseries, sorting waste, recycling used materials, and creating original products from plastic waste.
Numerous green creativity contests and activities were carried out as part of the program, offering students a platform to tell their own environmental stories from their own perspectives. Among the highlights were 5 recycling models created by students from 5 elementary schools during the "Live Healthy, Live Green" Festival series, showcasing both creativity and environmental awareness through ideas closely tied to everyday life.

Alongside this, the online contest "Living Green Together" - launched to more than 600 preschools and elementary schools nationwide - also drew strong participation from students. The contest recorded over 40,060 registrations for the Challenge Round and 111 video entries in the Creative Round, reflecting the growing interest of the younger generation in environmental issues, school health, and community responsibility.

Green Schools - Live Healthy, Live Green: A festival spreading a positive way of life
Throughout the 2025–2026 school year, the "Live Healthy, Live Green" Festival series was held at numerous schools, giving students the opportunity to engage with environmental knowledge through vivid, hands-on experiences.
At the festivals, students accessed environmental knowledge through direct interaction rather than simply listening to lectures. They took part in trading trash for gifts, learned how to sort waste at the source, explored the recycling process, and joined group games that combined physical activity with environmental knowledge.
According to the Organizing Committee, more than 10,000 students and teachers took part in the environmental experience activities throughout the past school year. Through these festivals, 853 kg of waste - including plastic, aluminum cans, cardboard, and plastic bags - was collected for recycling, helping spread the habit of waste sorting and reduce waste within schools. The enthusiastic atmosphere at the festivals shows that environmental education becomes far more relatable when students are directly involved in participating, exploring, and taking action, rather than only learning through books.
"Green Classrooms" growing alongside students
Another notable highlight of the campaign is the School Nursery model, implemented at numerous preschools and elementary schools. From small courtyards within school grounds, these nurseries have gradually become special "green classrooms," where students plant seeds with their own hands, care for the plants, and observe the growth of each living sprout day by day. Through these experiences, children gain a deeper understanding of nature, the value of labor, and the responsibility to protect the environment.

During the 2025–2026 school year, 27 school nurseries were built across Hanoi and Binh My Commune (Ninh Binh Province), drawing around 45,000 students and teachers to directly take part in caring for, monitoring, and harvesting the plants. Extending beyond the school grounds, Community Nurseries in Binh My Commune have continued the green journey into the local area, helping create additional sustainable green spaces for the community in the future.
Rows of trees transforming the local landscape
Alongside its in-school activities, the campaign also carried out tree-planting programs in various localities. In Binh My Commune (Ninh Binh), more than 21,000 shade trees have been planted along roads and public areas, helping improve the landscape and living environment. These emerging "Green Roads" not only provide shade but also make students' daily journeys to school feel more pleasant and refreshing.

Beyond adding more green spaces to local areas, the tree-planting activities also helped connect schools, parents, and the community in the journey of building a sustainable living environment.
Sowing the seeds of awareness for the future generation
After the journey of the 2025–2026 school year, what remains is not just the rows of trees or the nurseries built within schools, but also the "seeds of awareness" that have been planted in students' minds. It is the understanding that protecting the environment doesn't begin with something grand, but with small everyday actions: caring for a sprouting plant, sorting waste, or keeping classrooms clean and tidy.

Accompanying this journey throughout, Education & Times Newspaper, the Cau Vong Tuoi tho publication, and Elmich Vietnam hope to continue spreading educational models rooted in hands-on experience, so that the spirit of green living not only exists within schools but also becomes a habit, an awareness, and a responsibility that the younger generation carries toward the community and the environment in the future.
